"It's like having 2 dicks...except one can kill people."

So my flight on Friday scared the shit out of me.  It was supposed to take off at 3:00pm.  I don't think we actually left till 4:15pm.  It was rainy and shitty out, thanks Philly weather.  So, the pilot says something like "We are running a bit behind, but we will take some shortcuts and do what we can to get to Phoenix on time!"  Hmm...shortcuts?  So lo and behold, we make it to Phoenix on time to catch our flight out to LAX.  On the ride to PHX, I watched a 2 hour Incubus concert on my ipod, listened to music, tried to sleep, played on photoshop, and was waaayyyyyyy too excited to be bored.

Hello Phoenix!

Hello LA!

After I get to LAX, I took a horrible shuttle that was so fucking unorganized, I was about to rip my hair out.
[info]treerootsex was on his way to pick me up from my hotel room and take me to a halloween party hosted by a couple of people that we play Warcraft with.  (To be specific, it's a guild called Unknown Entities from the Crushridge server of WoW.  I played with them for ...maybe a year and a half? or more?  It's a guild made of up a bunch of RL friends.)  So FINALLY, I meet up with Chris, and we stop to get gas and some soda's for the party.  I made him take a pic of me pumping gas.  I thought it would be funny -_-

So then we finally arrive at the Halloween party, probably 3 hours after it started lol.  Chris was pointing out people by their real names, and then by their Warcraft names hahaha.

Yes, these are a bunch of Level 70 Characters on the Crushridge server.

Crusis and Ritsuko (me lol) doing /flex.

Sappora and Ritsuko also doing /flex.

Cailin and Ritsuko doing /drink! (Yes, I made people do emotes with me for pics <3)

Miekee, Ritsuko, Crusis (lol it's way more fun typing out WoW names)

Geisha + Kenpachi + Tetris = ???

Mike <3

I stole Chris' Tier 9 priest helm. Go me!

Erynis and Ritsuko!

This would be me wearing Danny's (Shawnene/Laquonda) beer keg helm lol.  He was TRASHED.  I love how there is a random Shinigami Captain walking around ^_^ (Kenpachi)

Chris wanted me to wand him to death.  I like those Harry Potter glasses.

Marge Simpson and me <3  This chick is so god damn pretty omg.

I gave Danny a kiss as you can see hahaha.  And this is him inflicting dmg onto emo!Willee's balls :(

Willee!!! Don't do it!!!!

No, you do not want to mess with this hoe.

I ended up sleeping over, since my hotel was about 40 mins-an hour away, and Chris was like an hour from my hotel.  It was just too much.  So on Saturday, I finally did WORK related stuff!!!  Hahaha.  I actually flew out there to attend a yearly conference called ASTRO.  It's a conference for Radiation Oncology folks to get together to basically party.  They also have a ton of lectures and presentations, along with all the major companies in the world showing off new technology for the field.  My job was to scope out new "Prone belly boards" for our rectal/pelvic patients who need it.  So on Saturday, I headed to the convention center to register.  Then my homies picked me up, and then we drove around thinking of things to do.  We went to Costa Mesa, where I ate Cosi's!!!!!

---SIDE NOTE.  When I was a small Squaresoft-obsessed child, I noticed the USA building for Square was in Costa Mesa, CA.  I always wanted to go there just to hug the building.  Well the building isn't there anymore, and I'm like a decade too late, but hey, I was there.  And I ate at my favorite place in the universe there <3 I can check that off of my list of things to do before I die :D ----------------- END OF SIDE NOTE.

Drivin around :)

Then we went to a bowling alley that was wayyyy too crowded, and decided Dave and Busters was our next target.  We played B-ball, random games, and air hockey.  I was a crazy asshole while playing air hockey hahaha.....everytime I hit the puck really hard, it went FLYING across the whole damn place lololol.  I was PISSING myself.  Well, I got owned in a few games, but whatever!!!

Mike losing to me in b-ball.

Shaun's Blizzard bowling shirt! hahaha!

Chris' murloc shirt!

So then we decided to go to...ROSCOE'S in Long Beach.  OH MY GOD.  I will fly out there once a month just to go to this place.  It's a chicken and waffles place. <3  2 of my favorite foods!  The chicken just melted in your mouth.  And they had really cool drinks!  I had a Lisa's Delight, which was iced tea and lemonade.  Others had the OJ + lemonade or something, I forget, I was too busy eating and loving my food.

TRUE LOVE.

My food before I tore it apart.

Mike, Shaun and Danny all took shots of.....SYRUP. (LOL @ Shaun's wig)

The remainder of my waffles looked like Megaman to me.

no?

yum <3

Then, we went back to Lorance and Shaun's place to play some Wii Bleach and Tekken 5(?) where I dusted off my Yoshimitsu skillz.

Yeah, I'm gona have to buy this damn game.  Holy crap, too much fun.  I was Kenpachi most of the time...who of course kicks so much ass.  This is a pic of Hitsu's bankai.

Look what Lorance owns!  Him and Shaun were GMs for WoW at the Blizzard building that I assume is very close to where they live.

So Sunday, I did more work shit :/  Went to a bunch of Lectures, and then attended a SHIT-TASTIC party.  I should have stayed in my hotel room and raided.

Me bored in-between meetings.

Don't look too close lol.  This is a pic of an EYEBALL getting radioactive shit sewn into it.  I of course, had to photograph this. lol.

Pretty neat chandelier in this particular room.

The Varian party was next to this place, where I think they have award shows?

This is where the party was.  Pretty neat looking.  It's a shame it was ULTRA packed with drunken egotistical assholes.

SO I LEFT. hahaha.  Saw this on the way back to the shuttle going to my hotel.

These kids were srsly jamming.

I went back to my room after that, logged on WoW for a little bit and ran Ramparts and Blood Furnace for one of my favorite people who plays the damn game (Overmaster/Cyonis/Menahem).  I sadly fell asleep twice while playing...that was my queue to go to sleep and wake up for more....LECTURES.

Chillin by the pool in-between lectures.  God I love my shoes.

The nifty bag/badge. I am not from Glenolden lol, my co-worker is who I switched registration with.

I had a TWO hour lunch on Monday, so guess what I did??? went to a mall to have a fantabulous lunch!  And then go shopping -_-

O.M.G.  This was the best lunch I ever had in my life.  This is BBQ chicken bite thingies, mac & cheese, and mashed potatoes.  Dear god.  My stomach was so happy.

I never thought I'd drop over 100$ on a purse, but what the hell, I'm in LA!

Little me and Big palm tree.

I skipped out on my last lecture, went back to my room, got changed and then headed for the 3rd street Promenade for food and shopping with Chris.  We later met up with Lorance and Mike.

Oh snap! :D

This was in the parking lot.

A really bad pic of the Santa Monica beach.

The shit I bought at Urban Outfitter :D

I got owned :)

Alliance shirt of course.

LOL.

So after lots of food and shopping, we all chilled out and sat around talking.  The weather was perfect -_-.  The guys were laughing at my accent.  Apparently I say the following words differently:  Orange, Oregon, Asshole, Horrible.  (Arr-enge, Ar-gin [hard G], Eass-hole, Harr-ible)

The goodies that Chris presented me with.  All DELICIOUS.

Tuesday I had to say byebye to my room :(

lol.

Bye LA :(

In conclusion, I have the best WoW friends ever.  I love LA...and [info]newfoundgirlie5, bitch, you better get your suitcase out, cause we got shoppin to do on the west coast homie.  Screw the cons, let's shop and eat. :D

CHRIS - omg thank you for driving me everywhere.  That civic is HARDCORE.  And your hello kitty > everything.

Behind the Cut:  Real life World of Warcraft meeting, useless pictures of Los Angeles and other California areas, gayness, and food.

oh, im glad you had fun! yay Santa Monica beach!!! <3 Reema lives a few houses in from the Santa Monica Blvd (although much further inland, you guys were near the beginning of it). and oh man you should have gone to Venice, they had amazing, unique, cheap shopping. next time <3

how was the weather??

i do have to admit i'm a little sad that you bought a Tokidoki purse, b/c i've been trying to get you one ever since Anime Boston when you were salivating over the ones in that store lmao. i couldnt buy them online b/c it was out of "season" or something when i tried to find the cute print i thought u wanted, so i'd been looking on eBay and couldnt find a good one i wanted/i was afraid of ripoffs, etc. so i knew they sold them in a few places in LA, so while i was there i tried to find one to get you for your bday. ask Reema, i dragged her around. the one store only had ugly prints, the one had just really tiiiiiiny purses that were not worth the money (but that place had the stationery i got you instead), and the one store only had some weird style that was essentially a big pocket that like folded over on itself. it was very strange and not very utilitarian, and i know how much you use your purses and how much you pack into them. plus i knew from the website they had WAY CUTER styles. also you know i am MEGA PICKY, and my indecisiveness only gets magnified as the price tag goes up. so there is a chance i was being too choosy about it, and you may have bought one i was holding in my hand 2 months ago, lol. but my point is that i was going to drag someone to NYC soon to raid that city for one to get you for Christmas, but now i dont have to. bottom line is, YOU HAVE ONE! and that makes you happy, and that makes me happy! so really i'm not that sad. i just think its funny you bought one in the same city i was looking for one for you in. plus it's my experience that with stuff that expensive, it's probably better to pick it out YOURSELF or you sometimes get stuck with one the other person liked, but not YOUR favorite. like i would NEVER want someone to buy me a new car as a present. EVER. (haha i like how im comparing a $10K+ item to a friggin PURSE LMAO, but man when you're broke, if you buy a $100 bag you may as well be buying a car hahahaha) anyway this has turned into one big mess of rationalizing and blabbing so im going to stop. hahaha

your hotel room looks swanky! did you make sure to stain the bathroom floor blue before leaving???

DUDE LOL WOW. Thank you so much for thinking of me with that purse <3333 You know I love you right? So, I had 2 bags in my hand, one was more "purse" like than the other. I forgot to take a better pic of the bag itself. But anyway, I walked up to the cashier and I said to her "pick one" hahahaha. I couldn't decide! So I picked one that had 3 zippers. The zippers are rainbow, hence, me wanting one lol. Thanks though, you know me sooooo well :)

The weather was....amazing.

And I didn't stain the floor, but I did get my period unexpectedly and almost stained the bedsheets! x_x

WOW i dont even KNOW what i did. lmao. all of a sudden my hourglass came up and it posted my comment. NO CLUE. lol haunted lj.

okay let's try again.

i mean, the prints are TO DIE FOR cute, but it's totally the rainbow zippers that make them super awesome. so going for one with the most zippers sounds like a fantastic plan to me! good choice! i cant wait to steal it! i mean, see it! ;D

oh noes about your period! i hate that surprise shit. when Tom and i started dating, i stained his sheets that way. x_________x GOD was that embarrassing, we were together for like a few months. and to this day when we use the sheets (its like this TINY ASS BROWN spot, so small) he goes, "hey, don't stain these with your period again, KAY??" hahahaha jerk.

so when are we moving to California???

Wheeeeeeee, fun!!

Yeah, a friend of mine is from Jersey, and she says, "harr-ible," "far-head," "Flarida," and "ar-inge," too. It's a regional thing.

is your friend from South Jersey? that sounds like a Pennsylvania/South Jersey accent. am i right??? just cause it's a very Sopranos accent they have up in North Jersey, they say things like "caw-fee" and "Flaw-rida." haha

Yeah, I'm pretty sure she's from S. Jersey - not very near the city, so her accent hasn't mingled with that nasally Brooklynese accent.

I'm from upstate NY originally, so there are several words I pronounce similarly to her compared to where we both live now (Boston/Southern NH), but I say "for-head" and "Florr-eh-da."

Hahaha :) I took a basic linguistics class back in college, and it was really neat because we got to analyze the way we all pronounced different words. I've noticed a smidgeon of New England accent creeping into my day-to-day speech; particularly, I absolutely will describe something as "wikid cool," or something disappointing as "a wikid pissah." The "wikid" is definitely part of my vocabulary now, but I only drop my r's when I'm feeling particularly facetious (Usually just to say, "wikid pissah") - I have absolutely never "pahked mah cah in Hahvahd Yahd." I have been known to snark to my native NH/MA/RI friends that in upstate New York, we still have all 26 letters in our alphabet ;-)

also i forgot, on the topic of the accent! i think this is incredibly interesting stuff. you and i certainly do not have identical accents, and yet i absolutely do not think you say the words "horrible" or "orange" weird. do they say "OR-ange" and "FlOR-ida?" like with emphasis on the "or?" also i'm confused how they think you say asshole differently...how else would you pronounce it?

i wonder what people think of my accent sometimes. im like a hybrid of north and south Jersey accents since im in the middle. like, i definitely say "harr-ible" the way you do, but i also say "taw-king." do i have an accent to you? i think you have a little bit of an accent. like, i can tell you're from PA. Tom's grandmother grew up in Eastern PA and you talk a lot like she does (except your accent is a little different since she's not from Philly, and hers is a lot heavier).

i think the funniest is how my name has that questionable sound in it. cause I say "Law-rie," and you say "Lah-rie," and they sound so different. and we really didnt grow up that far apart! haha.

and how EXACTLY do you pronounce the word Oregon without a hard g? im so confused haha, you're going to have to call me tomorrow and just be like "HI! OREGON!" lol, so i can figure this out. i guess i put another syllable in ("Or-e-gon"), but i definitely say a hard g too.

the thing i never get about the west coast is i never think THEY have accents! every time i go there or meet someone from there, someone comments on my accent, but to me they sound 100% normal. if we have different accents, shouldn't they sound different to me, too?

I'm from upstate NY (Capitol District area) - I say "OR-inge" and "Florr-eh-da." Definitely with the "oh" sound, not the "ah" sound. I've found myself beginning to emphasize the "r" a little more to make sure I don't fall into the r-dropping habit of most New Englanders (I don't, for example, go to Hahvahd Squa-uh for chowdah. Although... on occasion, I will purposely pronounce chowder as "CHOWDAH!")

Awesome fun! Your two-tone drink concoction somewhat scares me. Should I be worried about the nature of those two liquids? I certainly hope that the presence of the ketchup bottle behind is a coincidence.
